DIGITAL LEARNING - DISTANCE LEARNING With this project the partners aim at developing and increasing their knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to be digitally competent through sharing good practices, collaboration and interaction at European level. The need to apply a project related to digital technologies and of innovative and open pedagogies in education came as a great opportunity to all of us facing and struggling with new challenges that arose with the COVID-19 pandemic and the switch to distance or online teaching. We want manage to handle the rapidly changing situation trying to offer equal opportunities to all of our students and teachers. The project team consists of six countries, mostly experienced schools which have already carried out different European projects before. We decided to work together because we have the same needs to be addressed and we can contribute to the project through our differing skills and expertise. The partnership aims at achieving the following objectives: -to equip teachers and students with skills and knowledge on the use of digital tools so that they are all encouraged and motivated -to participate effectively and constructively in the lessons, -to increase their digital competence and strengthen teacher's skills based teaching practice through transnational cooperation and by adopting innovative, effective and new methods and tools, -to increase their level of foreign languages, boost their communication and social skills and collaboration, -to improve their socio affective skills through an international approach as opposed to digital technologies isolated at home, -to use creativity and innovation, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making approaches, -to make the most of exchange of good practices and peer-learning, -to take personal and social responsibility in an unpredictable situation like a pandemic, -to boost their cultural awareness and intercultural learning and promote a sense of European dimension, -to create interest in other countries and be tolerant towards different cultures. |
